E-VOTING APPEAL

The Organisation of the Swiss Abroad have invited the Swiss Clubs in the United Kingdom to appeal to their members regarding this new petition to the Federal Council. The attached documents details the nature of the petition which call for, as soon as possible, the ability of voting in elections and referenda via the internet (e-voting and e-election). FORTHCOMING OSA EVENTS 2012

Two events are scheduled in 2012. The Spring Meeting of the Council for the Swiss Abroad will take place in Bern at the Rathaus on the 24 March 2012 from 09.00 to approx. 17.00. The Annual Congress of the Organisation of the Swiss Abroad will take place in Lausanne at the Palais de Beaulieu on 17 to 19 August. Further details will be available in due course.

AGM 2012 - LONDON

This year's Annual General Meeting will take place at the Swiss Church in London on Saturday 9 of June. Further details are forthcoming in the near future. It should be noted that the Swiss Church is celebrating its 250 anniversary this year. More on this at a later date also.

President's Report on the FOSSUK AGM 2011 York

At the FOSSUK AGM 2011 in York, Margrit Lyster was appointed as the new President.

It was a hugely successful programme and set the bar for the future of the Federation of Swiss Societies' future as the umbrella organisation representing Swiss Clubs and Societies in the UK.

The next FOSSUK AGM will be held on the 9th June 2012 at 2pm at the Swiss Church London community centre.
