- Monika Gysin, Swissinfo, Berne

From London, the resident swissinfo journalist, Al, will also be attending.

FOSSUK AGM - Date Amendment to 12th June 2010

The Annual General Meeting of the Federation of Swiss Societies in the United Kingdom will take place on the 12th of June 2010 in London.
Due to a venue date conflict the AGM has been moved one week forward from the initial date of the 19th of June which was published in 2009.

A newsletter from the President, Freddie Wyser, containing additional information will be available on the website from mid February.

What Switzerland does for the Swiss abroad; could it do more?

Swiss nationals in the UK and their friends are invited to attend this special event which will show what Switzerland does for you. It will be followed by a debate when you will have the opportunity to ask if it could do more and what you would like it to do.

OSA Congress-Lucerne 2009. 'DELEGATES REPORT' (Revised)

The FOSSUK Delegates Report on the OSA Congress, held in Lucerne from the 7 - 9 August 2009, is now available in the Reports section of the website.

Swiss Golf Day 23rd October

Friday, 23rd October 2009 at Highgate Golf Club, Denewood Road, London, N6 4H. Tel 020 8340 1906 / 3745. Tee Times from 11am, registration by 10:20am.
18 hole handicap Stableford Competition with very nice prizes for both ladies and men - nearest to the pin and longest drives. Competition followed by a meal and prize presentation at 4:30pm (please wear a jacket and tie). We will be competing for the 'Marchesi'& 'Vollmond' Cups at Highgate.

All Swiss friends are welcome for the day or simply join us for the meal.

Cost of £50 includes coffee and bacon rolls on arrival, green fees and the 2 course dinner (£20 for dinner only). Cheques are to be made payable to Jeffrey Long.

OSA Congress 20 - 22 August 2010

The 2010 OSA Congress will take place in St Gallen between the 20th - 22nd of August. The planned theme is "The Political Representation of the Swiss Abroad". Please send us your thoughts and comments as a Swiss living in the UK so that we may represent your views in the political arena of the OSA Congress.
