Dear Presidents, members and friends,

All good things must come to an end!

The Unione Ticinese London, the New Helvetic Society, and the Swiss Club Edinburgh have called for an Extraordinary General meeting and propose to dissolve FOSSUK, 
in accordance with Art. 7 of the constitution.

This Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) will take place online on zoom
on Monday May 11th 2026 from 20:00 to 21:00

Backdrop:
At the AGM on 7th June 2025, the FOSSUK member societies approved unanimously a motion, 
recommended by a taskforce, led by CSA delegate Lakshmi Sundaran, 
to move away from a club-based federation to SwissCommunity UK, 
which is better suited to serve as an umbrella organisation for the Swiss citizens living in the UK.

The new FOSSUK committee was voted to be the transition committee, charged with implementing the new organisation.

SwissCommunity UK will be launched at the Swiss Embassy London on 6th June 2026.

Please take a moment to review the Draft Constitution and other relevant documents, downloadable in the News section.

SwissCommunity UK will replace FOSSUK, which is coming to its natural conclusion.
